Policies

Guests agree to abide by Renting the Coast’s rental rules and policies while at the rental property. 

Please refer to your rental agreement for complete rental rules and policies. 

You must be 25 years or older and at the property to rent. The vacation rental lease begins at 5:00 (either CT or ET depending on the timezone of the property) on the check-in date and ends at 10:00 AM (Either CT or ET)on the checkout date. Guests must depart no later than 10:00 AM on the checkout date - no exceptions. Smoking is prohibited on all properties.

 

SMS TERMS OF SERVICE

SMS Terms of Service By opting into SMS from a web form or other medium, you are agreeing to receive SMS messages from Renting the Coast LLC. This includes SMS messages for appointment scheduling, appointment reminders, post-visit instructions, lab notifications, and billing notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. See privacy policy at https://www.rentingthecoast.com/policies. Message HELP for help. Reply STOP to any message to opt out.


Occupancy Limits 

There is a maximum occupancy per property, and guests may not exceed the limit agreed to in the rental agreement. No large group events are allowed. People outside the guest’s party may not stay overnight at the property. Any other person on the property is the sole responsibility of the guest. 

Quiet Hours

Noise Guests should not create excessive noise that disturbs neighbors. Code-enforced neighborhood quiet hours are from 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Liability All units are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for accidents, injuries, or illness on the premises or its facilities. Further, the homeowners are not responsible for the loss of guest belongings.

Pets

Pets Dogs are allowed at some of our homes for an additional fee. Cats and other animals are not permitted. Please inquire first with our office staff before bringing a pet. The pet fee must be paid before arrival and is non-refundable. Please be sure that your pet has been appropriately medicated for flea control. All pets must be kept on a leash while outside the home. Please help us keep our pet-friendly status on our beaches by cleaning up after your pet around the property and on the beaches. Housekeeping There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units. We do not guarantee beach towels or beach gear. Garbage Any garbage must be stowed in the proper garbage located at the side of the house. Leave No Trace Please abide by Bay and Gulf county’s “Leave No Trace” ordinance. Management Access Guest shall allow Renting the Coast’s access to the property for necessary repairs and inspection. We will exercise this right of access reasonably.

Availability, Construction & Inclement Weather If the rental home is sold or removed from our program Renting the Coast will attempt to find a new home as a replacement that is both similar in quality and price. No refunds or penalty-free cancellations will be given due to construction in the area. We will do our best to let guests know if construction is due to start or is currently in progress, but guests assume this risk by booking in this area. No refunds will be given for inclement weather or any other act of God, including but not limited to red tide, pandemics, hurricanes, tropical storms, or cyclones. Therefore, we strongly suggest you purchase travel insurance to help protect your vacation investment. Travel Insurance We encourage all renters to purchase travel insurance. The cost of the premium will be 6.95% of the reservation total. If you have questions about your current or potential insurance coverage, please call your insurer or insurance agent. Payment & Fees Acceptable payment methods are personal checks, cashier checks, money orders or credit cards. We do not accept checks drawn on foreign banks. Whenever possible, we prefer checks or e-checks. This helps us keep the cost of our rentals down. Guests agree to pay a non-refundable $50.00 damage waiver fee included in the rent quoted. If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon check-in, the guest shall inform Renting the Coast staff immediately. Cancellation Policy There are no refunds once a rental is booked, plus a $150 cancellation fee. There is no grace period for cancellations, and our cancellation policy is effective immediately upon booking. If guests opt out of the optional travel insurance, they acknowledge the risk of losing all monies paid in advance for your vacation. If the home is re-rented for the same price during the same time frame, guests will be eligible for a partial refund by check upon confirmation of the new booking. If the home cannot be re-rented, then all monies paid in advance are forfeited. We reserve the right to discount any canceled week if needed to rebook it. Any difference in rate due to last-minute discounts will be added to the cancellation fee and deducted from the refund check. Renting the Coast strongly advises the purchase of travel insurance to protect your investment. Read more about our travel insurance sold through Red Sky. Internet Access Internet access is for guests and their parties. Guests shall not share the wireless internet password outside of your rental party; reset, erase, or modify the router password; transmit any unlawful material or material that infringes the copyright of any party; use the internet for excessively high-volume data transfers. Internet access will terminate if guests fail to comply with Renting the Coast’s terms and conditions. No Warranty is provided for Internet use. Internet use and related equipment are provided “as is” without warranty or guarantee of any kind. In no event shall the owner be liable for its use. By electing to use Wi-Fi, you assume all risk and hold us harmless in the event of any damage you may suffer due to security breaches. Pool Heat Some homes have pool heat available for an additional fee. Pool heaters may not fully heat the pool if the outside temperature and conditions are 60 degrees or below or cloudy with heavy rain. Refunds will not be given on poor pool heat performance due to these conditions. Heating the pool is an optional service but cannot be guaranteed. Hot Tub There are health risks associated with using a hot tub, and guests use it at their own risk. When not using the hot tub, leave the cover on so the hot tub will stay warm. Please do not stand or sit on the hot tub covers.
